In alignment with the objectives of the SOAR – Skilling for AI Readiness programme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and NCVET, the course titled “Generative AI for Inclusive Digital Participation” has been developed by the Skill Council for Persons with Disabilities with a focused emphasis on AI for inclusivity, particularly for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

The initiative supports national efforts to promote responsible, ethical, and accessible adoption of Artificial Intelligence in learning, work, and daily life.

Course Overview

The course is designed to enable PwDs to understand and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (Gen AI) confidently in daily life, learning, work, employability, and entrepreneurship. It follows an inclusive, learner-friendly, and modular structure, aligned with NCVET standards, and integrates practical activities, real-life examples, reflections, and assistive tools to ensure ease of learning and real-world relevance.

The curriculum covers foundational concepts of AI and Gen AI, AI-based assistive technologies and accessibility features, digital and data literacy, ethical, safe, and responsible use of AI, productivity and communication using Gen AI tools, career development and employability support, and entrepreneurship opportunities enabled through Gen AI.

The course aims to promote independence, confidence, and inclusive digital participation among learners across different disability categories.
